Caring for glass
Glass flowers
Glass needs almost nothing when it\'s out in the garden. Still, a few details are worth knowing.
- Cleaning. Simply rinse with lukewarm water and wipe with a soft cloth. For stubborn limescale, water with a drop of vinegar is enough.
- Winter. The flowers are frost-resistant and can stay in the border all year round. You don\'t need to bring them in for winter.
- Lawnmower and rake. The only real risk is impact. When mowing the lawn, be careful around the stem near the ground.
- Staking into the ground. Don\'t force the stem into hard or frozen ground. First make a hole with a stake, then insert the flower.
Solar lights
- Panel. Every so often, wipe dust and leaves off the solar panel. A dirty panel is the most common reason a light shines for a shorter time.
- Placement. The panel needs direct sunlight during the day. It won\'t charge in the shade of a shrub.
- Winter. The light can stay outdoors. During a long spell of overcast weather it may not fully charge — this is a feature of solar operation, not a defect.
- Battery. The rechargeable battery has a limited lifespan. It\'s replaceable, and we\'re happy to help.
