Where the goods come from
Our makers
Family glassmaking workshop, Bavarian Forest
The Bavarian Forest is one of Europe\'s oldest glassmaking regions. Glass has been blown here since the Middle Ages, and the craft is still passed down through families. All our glass flowers come from here.

A rod of coloured glass is held in the flame, stretched, turned and opened out into petals. Each flower takes just under four minutes to make, and the process cannot be rushed. Nothing is cast in a mould and nothing is painted on — the colour is right inside the glass.
That\'s exactly why no two pieces lean in quite the same way. Small variations in shape and shade are not flaws, but the signature of the person who made the piece.
How we choose
We buy small and buy carefully. We only add to our range what we\'d happily put in our own garden. We\'d rather have fewer pieces and be sure they\'ll last.
